Our crane for the BorWin5 offshore substation has successfully passed SAT
We are pleased to announce that our crane dedicated to the BorWin5 project has successfully passed the Site Acceptance Test (SAT), which took place in the German waters of the North Sea.
SAT is the final stage of technical approval, carried out at the installation site to ensure that the equipment operates according to the technical documentation and meets all customer requirements.
The crane will soon begin operation on the offshore substation, which is part of the transmission infrastructure connecting offshore wind farms to the German power grid within the BorWin5 project.
The unit has been designed for:
– unloading materials from supply vessels,
– transporting cargo around the platform,
– and safely transferring personnel using a man-riding basket.
At PROTEA, we are proud to support the offshore industry by delivering reliable and modern lifting solutions that meet the demands of the energy transition.
