The Electric House (E-House) Offshore Containers are specially designed and manufactured according to individual set of requirements defined by the customer. The Electric Containers are usually installed on FPSO Vessels or drilling rigs.
Interior of the E-House Containers typically consist of 690V Electric Switchboard / Motor Control Cabinet, which is an assembly of panels for redirecting and dividing electricity to electric motors and other devices on a vessel. Additionally the E-House contains a Variable Speed Drive (VSD), which regulates the speed and rotational force, or torque output, of the electric motors.
The cabinets inside the E-House generate heat, therefore HVAC Cooling System can be installed on the container’s rooftop. Raw water pumped by the Condensing Unit into the Air Handling Unit allows cold air ventilation inside the E-House.
For active fire protection the E-House can be equipped with emergency Ex type pneumatic dampers, closing down the unit in case of gas or fire.
